Selected Onions

The juicy onions

Nowadays onions are grown all over Japan and are available all over the year. As for the taste, there is the spicy onion, and the fresh onion, which is sweeter and is available during March and April.
Juicy and fresh onion, with a heavy weight is always preferred.

Healty vegetable

Onions are sweet, thus owning high calories comparing with cabbages or carrots.
However, since onions are also full of vitamin B, which improves the metabolism of fat and sugar, they are thought to be good for health.

Regular vegetable

Half of the onion production in Japan comes from Hokkaito, and in KAMUKURA we make procurement of onions from all over the country.
In this condition, onions are being applied in a variety of cuisine from Western to Asian styles.

Onions has been melted in KAMUKURA as a whole

In KAMUKURA, onions are used in not only seasonal dishes, but also ingredients of rice bowls. Besides, onions are found in the seasoning of KAMUKURA cooking, visible or not.
